The details that matter

Terms of Service

The terms for using PlungeLab, including safety, purchases, your rights, and how to contact us.

Effective date: September 8, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PlungeLab iPhone app, Apple Watch app, widgets, complications, related content, and support (together, “PlungeLab”). PlungeLab is provided by EGGYOLK YAZILIM TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“Eggyolk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Please read these Terms carefully, especially the safety provisions. By downloading, purchasing, accessing, or using PlungeLab, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PlungeLab.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PlungeLab. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you and supervise any cold- or heat-exposure activity. PlungeLab is not directed to children under 13.

You may use PlungeLab only in compliance with applicable law, these Terms, Apple’s applicable usage rules, and the terms that apply to your Apple devices, Apple Account, Apple Health, and App Store purchases.

2. What PlungeLab does

PlungeLab helps you record cold plunge, cold shower, open-water, sauna, and contrast sessions; view dose and streak summaries; read permitted Apple Health data; save supported workouts to Apple Health; and generate personal patterns and fitness-style metrics. Some functions require a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, permissions, hardware capabilities, internet access, or a PlungeLab Pro purchase.

PlungeLab does not require an account. Your core session and health information is stored and analyzed on your devices as described in the PlungeLab Privacy Policy.

3. Important health and cold-water warning

PlungeLab is a fitness and journaling tool. It is not a medical device, healthcare service, emergency service, or substitute for a qualified medical professional. It does not diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat, or cure any condition and does not provide medical advice.

Cold and heat exposure can cause cold shock, involuntary gasping, hyperventilation, loss of coordination, fainting, hypothermia, afterdrop, burns, cardiac stress, drowning, serious injury, or death. Open water adds weather, current, depth, visibility, and rescue risks. Sensor readings, timers, reminders, haptics, automatic detection, dose targets, recovery metrics, and insights may be late, incomplete, unavailable, or wrong.

Before using cold or heat exposure, obtain appropriate professional advice, particularly if you have a heart condition, uncontrolled high blood pressure, an arrhythmia, Raynaud’s phenomenon, a seizure history, are pregnant, take medication that may affect your response, or have any other health concern. Never plunge alone. Never use cold or heat exposure after alcohol or impairing substances. Enter slowly and never dive or submerge head-first. Warm up gradually after exposure. Stop immediately and seek appropriate help if you feel unwell, confused, faint, numb, unusually short of breath, or unable to control your breathing.

Do not rely on PlungeLab to decide whether an activity is safe, how cold or hot to go, how long to remain exposed, whether another person is safe, or whether emergency care is needed. PlungeLab does not monitor you for emergencies and cannot summon rescue services. A completed ring, streak, target, or favorable insight is not an instruction to continue, increase, or repeat exposure. More is not necessarily better.

If you believe there is an emergency, leave the exposure if you can do so safely and contact local emergency services immediately.

The in-app safety acknowledgment confirms that you had an opportunity to read the safety guide. It is not medical clearance, a guarantee of safety, or a waiver of any right that cannot lawfully be waived.

4. Personal patterns are not causal conclusions

PlungeLab may compare plunge days and rest days, calculate heart-rate recovery, or describe trends in sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, mood, respiratory rate, dose, or perceived intensity. These outputs are estimates based on available data. They can be affected by missing readings, device placement, medications, illness, alcohol, sleep schedule, exercise, environment, and many other factors.

An association in your data does not establish that cold or heat exposure caused an outcome. PlungeLab’s confidence labels, sample sizes, dose suggestions, and comparisons are informational only and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, medical decisions, or safety-critical decisions.

5. License and ownership

Subject to these Terms, Eggyolk grants you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, nonsublicensable, revocable license to use PlungeLab on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services usage rules. Family Sharing or volume-purchase access is permitted only to the extent Apple allows it.

PlungeLab is licensed, not sold. Eggyolk and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in PlungeLab, including its software, design, text, graphics, trademarks, and other content, except for information that you own.

Unless applicable law permits it despite this restriction, you may not copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code, modify, create derivative works from, bypass security or entitlement checks, scrape, or use automated means to interfere with PlungeLab.

6. Your information and permissions

You retain your rights in session notes, mood entries, and other information you enter. PlungeLab processes that information only to provide features you request and as described in the Privacy Policy. If you deliberately send information to support, you give us permission to use it to investigate and respond to your request.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you enter and for protecting your devices and exports. Do not enter another person’s health information without lawful authority.

You choose whether to grant Apple Health, motion, notification, and other system permissions. You may change permissions in system Settings, but disabling a permission may limit related functions. Health data written to Apple Health is controlled separately through Apple’s Health and Settings apps.

7. PlungeLab Pro, trials, and purchases

PlungeLab offers free functions and may offer monthly, yearly, and non-consumable lifetime PlungeLab Pro purchases. Available products, eligibility, trial length, localized price, billing period, and included features are shown in the app and App Store before purchase. Apple processes payment; Eggyolk does not receive your payment-card number or Apple Account password.

For an auto-renewing subscription:

  • payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase;
  • any free trial is available only if Apple determines that you are eligible;
  • unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current trial or billing period, the subscription automatically renews; and
  • Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting PlungeLab, deleting local data, or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless Apple states otherwise.

Apple administers billing, cancellations, and refunds under its rules and applicable law. You may request a refund through Apple. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund, withdrawal, warranty, or consumer right that applies to you.

A lifetime purchase is a non-consumable license to the PlungeLab Pro features offered within this app while PlungeLab remains supported and available. It is not tied to a person’s lifespan, does not guarantee that every future feature or separate product will be included, and does not guarantee perpetual operation of third-party services or unsupported hardware. We will not remove paid access arbitrarily, and any discontinuation remains subject to applicable consumer law.

8. Apple Health, hardware, and third-party services

PlungeLab depends on Apple software, hardware, and services, including iOS, watchOS, HealthKit, Core Motion, WatchConnectivity, WidgetKit, notifications, the App Store, and StoreKit. Purchase validation uses RevenueCat. The PlungeLab website at plungelab.app uses Cloudflare hosting and delivery; legacy PlungeLab legal pages on eggyolk.io use Vercel hosting. These third parties may change, suspend, or discontinue their services, and their own terms and privacy notices apply.

We may later use additional providers for functions such as app analytics, crash and performance diagnostics, feature configuration, notification delivery, customer support, security, fraud prevention, website measurement, cloud hosting, or optional synchronization. Adding a provider does not give it unrestricted access to PlungeLab data. Before a new provider begins processing personal data, we will update the Privacy Policy and App Store privacy disclosures, identify material new practices, and obtain any consent required by law or Apple platform rules.

Optional future features that transmit health or session information off your devices, create an account, provide cloud backup, or use server-based analysis will be described at the point of use. You may choose not to enable an optional feature, although the feature may then be unavailable. Apple Health data will not be used for advertising, marketing attribution, cross-app tracking, data brokerage, or other purposes prohibited by Apple’s rules.

Apple Health permissions can be partial, revoked, or unavailable. Apple intentionally does not always tell apps whether read access to a health-data type was denied. PlungeLab therefore cannot guarantee that it has complete data. Apple Watch sensors and water-submersion capabilities vary by model, fit, environment, permissions, and operating-system behavior. Ultra-only functions are enhancements and are not safety systems.

9. Exports and sharing

If you create a CSV export, share card, screenshot, or other output, you decide whether and where to send it. Exports may contain health-related or sensitive information. Review the output and recipient before sharing. Once you send or save an output to another app, service, or person, their terms and privacy practices apply and Eggyolk cannot control further use.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use PlungeLab unlawfully or to violate another person’s rights;
  • use PlungeLab as an emergency, rescue, medical-monitoring, or safety-certification system;
  • misrepresent PlungeLab outputs as medical advice or a guarantee of safety;
  • interfere with PlungeLab, Apple’s services, purchase validation, or another user’s device;
  • introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access; or
  • use PlungeLab commercially, resell it, or build a competing dataset or service from it without our written permission, except where applicable law expressly permits the activity.

11. Updates, changes, and availability

We may update PlungeLab to add, change, or remove features; address safety, security, legal, or technical issues; or maintain compatibility. We may discontinue PlungeLab or a feature when reasonably necessary. We do not promise that PlungeLab will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or supported indefinitely.

We will respect paid access and mandatory consumer rights. If a material change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it.

12. Support

Eggyolk, not Apple, is responsible for PlungeLab maintenance and support to the extent required by applicable law. Contact us using the details in Section 19. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for PlungeLab.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlungeLab is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults. Eggyolk disclaims implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and noninfringement.

We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of sensor readings, Apple Health data, imported workouts, calculations, insights, reminders, timers, temperature readings, automatic start or end detection, device synchronization, data recovery, or exports. You are responsible for keeping appropriate backups of information you cannot afford to lose and for verifying safety-critical facts independently.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain disclaimers, so this Section applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not limit mandatory consumer guarantees.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eggyolk and its directors, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, or data, arising from or related to PlungeLab.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eggyolk’s total aggregate liability arising from PlungeLab or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for PlungeLab during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD 50 or its local-currency equivalent.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PlungeLab at any time and may delete local data through the app. Subscription cancellation is separate and must be completed through Apple.

Your license may terminate automatically if you materially breach these Terms. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure before taking action. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and Apple-specific terms—will survive.

16. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and Eggyolk, not Apple. Eggyolk, not Apple, is solely responsible for PlungeLab and its content.

Your App Store license is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless Eggyolk provides a valid custom end-user license agreement through Apple. These Terms supplement, and do not conflict with, Apple’s applicable usage rules. If there is a conflict concerning the scope of the App Store license, Apple’s applicable terms control.

If PlungeLab fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, under Apple’s rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation concerning PlungeLab. Eggyolk is responsible for other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to an applicable warranty.

Eggyolk, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to PlungeLab or your possession or use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that PlungeLab fails to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar law.

If a third party claims that PlungeLab or your possession and use of it infringes intellectual-property rights, Eggyolk, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by the United States government as a country that supports terrorism, and that you are not listed on a United States government prohibited- or restricted-party list. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using PlungeLab.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.

17. Governing law and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence, and any court or consumer authority with mandatory jurisdiction remains available to you.

Before filing a claim, you and Eggyolk should try in good faith to resolve it by contacting the other party, unless urgent relief or applicable law makes that inappropriate. Nothing in these Terms requires private arbitration or waives access to a competent consumer arbitration committee, regulator, or court.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law. These Terms and the documents expressly incorporated into them form the agreement concerning PlungeLab.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in PlungeLab, our providers, or applicable law. We will post the revised Terms on the PlungeLab terms page and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using PlungeLab and cancel any subscription before its next renewal.
